The trekkers will have plenty of opportunities to view the Himalaya Mountains and enjoy the natural beauty of the region while also experience the adventure of trekking in Nepal. The holy shrine of Muktinath is one of the major attractions of the trek while the ancient monasteries, numerous caves that lie scattered in the region are the other high points of the trekking.

The existing culture of the people living in the Mustang region is a beautiful combination of Tibetan and Buddhist traditions. Mustang in the past used to be an independent state with a separate King ruling the region with Lo-Manthang being the Kingdom of Upper Mustang. The word Mustang originates from two Tibetan words “mun” and “tan” roughly translated as the "fertile plain".

The fascinating Jomsom-Muktinath Trek starts with a drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu, the capital city. From Pokhara, you will take a flight to Jomsom which is the starting point of the amazing 16- day trek with the Emerging Nepal.
