Everest Expedition - Emerging Nepal

Everest Expedition

Make the most out of our Kathmandu to Kathmandu Everest Expedition that is led by the highly experienced Everest summiteer. Conquered by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary for the first time in 1953, Mount Everest is the highest mountain of the world. Climbing Everest from Nepal was the only choice when Tibet did not allow foreign visitors after the Cultural Revolution. There are two possible routes for climbing Everest. You can either climb Everest from the northern side that lies in Tibet or you can follow the southern ridge that lies in Nepal.

Emerging Nepal currently offers 57days Everest Expedition. Leaving hotel in Kathmandu, we will take 35minutes of Kathmandu Lukla flight to reach Lukla from where we will traverse Dudhkoshi River and reach Ghat to Phakding. The trail winds up and down through the mani walls and highland villages of Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche and Lobuche to Everest Base Camp that exists at 17598ft. Walk along Khumbu icefall, traversing forest of blooming rhododendrons with Himalayan wildlife views, visit to largest Monastery of Khumbu region at Tengboche and views from vantage points at Mount Everest, Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar are some of the highlights of Everest Expedition. Four High Camps will be west before reaching the summit. Everest High Camp I will be prepared at the summit of icefall at altitude of 19500ft while Everest High Camp II will be at 21000ft. Camp II also acts as the Base Camp for Camp III (23500ft) and Camp IV (23500ft.) Oxygen cylinders will be provided whenever necessary. We will make our route through southeastern ridge.
