Climbing Barunche / Baruntse is never an easy job. You are invited to take Expedition in Baruntse. Face the challenging crevasses and and take the thrilling walk through the avalanche prone area. Baruntse Mountain stands tall with its 7129m. towering height and allows the finest views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and Makalu Mountains. Baruntse can be used as the training base for Everest Climbing. Located near to Makalu at the centre of three glacier valleys of Barun, Hinku and Imja, Baruntse Expedition Package also allows us with an experience of exploring Arun Valley.

Barunche Peak was conquered for the first time in 1954 by the team of Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow and many of the aspiring climbers have chosen this Expedition so far.

Emerging Nepal offers 33 days Barunche Expedition. You will be led by the expert team leader that has accumulated wealth of experience in climbing all major mountains in Nepal. Walk freely by enjoying the rare views of rural Nepal as your personal as well as group luggage will be carried by Sherpas and yaks. The cables will be fixed by climbing expert with help of Sherpas. The package also covers the memorable visit to UNESCO enlisted sites inside Kathmandu. Barunche Trekking begins after taking 35 minutes of pleasant Kathmandu Lukla flight. You will pass through Paiya, Pangkoma and Nashing Dingma to summer settlement at Chalem Kharka from where you will cross the meadow of Chunbu Kharka and travel through Kothe of Hinku Valley to Tagnag from where you will proceed through Rato Odar to start of Five Lakes. You will climb Baruntse by setting two Baruntse High Camps before reaching the summit. Lowering down, you will retrace our route through Amphulabsa Base Camp from where we will enter Khumbu Region. You will trek back to Lukla and catch Lukla Kathmandu flight.   
 
Spring and Autumn are considered best season for Barunche Climbing.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m)
Once you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will find the representative from Emerging Nepal waiting for you at Tribhuvan International Airport. After completing your visa formalities, you will meet our staff who will pick you up from airport and take you to the luxury hotel where you will get refreshed and stay overnight.

Day02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and trek preparation
We will take sightseeing tour in Kathmandu and visit UNESCO World Heritage sites of Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swayamvu and Kathmandu Durbar square. We will also receive an approval from Nepal Government for Expedition in Baruntse. 

Day03: Kathmandu Lukla Flight Trek to Paiya (Chutok) (2730m) 4hrs
It requires 35minutes of pleasant Kathmandu Lukla flight to take us to Tenzing Hilary Airport at Lukla. The flight will offer panoramic views of Gaurishankar, Langtang, Lhotse and Nuptse Mountains. We will begin our trek from Lukla. We will follow the scenic trail through forest to arrive at Shurke from where we will pass through settlement of Pakhapani to reach Paiya or Poyan where we will stay overnight.

Day04: Trek to Pangkoma (2850m) 6hrs
Paiya offers views of Kwangde Ri, Khatang and other 7000m+ peaks and mountains. Crossing the wooden bridge, we will walk through meadow to Karila Pass. After difficult climb, we will reach the top of Karila Pass that offers view of Dudhkoshi Valley. We will lower down to Pangkoma village.

Day05:  Trek to Nashing Dingma (2600m) 4-5hrs
We will follow the ascending trail through forest of bamboo and blooming rhododendron. We will climb Pangkongma La (3173m) Pass and enjoy the rare view of Mera Peak before lowering down to the Hinku Khola. We will cross the river above rope bridge and walk to Nashing Dingma. 

Day06: Trek to Chalem Kharka (3600m) 5hrs
The trail contours up through the forested ridge of rhododendron and oak. We will proceed through meadow of lush green vegetation to the campsite at Chalem Kharka.  

Day07: Trek to Chunbu Kharka (4200m) 6hrs
Leaving the green campsite at Chalem Kharka, we will chase the slopy path upward through rhododendron forest that will lead us to open green valley of Chunbu Kharka. We will enjoy the view of Kanchenjunga Mountain from our camp and stay overnight at Chunbukharka.

Day08: Trek to Khote (Hinku Valley) (4200m) 6hrs
We will head to the core Hinku Valley region. We will take the walk through rock strewn bank of river to the small village of Khote or Kothe. Time permitting; we can also take another 2 hrs of trek to the pasture land at Swara.

Day09: Trek to Tangnang (4350m) 4hrs
After short walk through the forested ridge of Hinku Khola, we will arrive at the summer settlement of Gondishung. We will visit Lungsungba Gompa and choose the escalating trail to Thagnag where we can enjoy the view of vast open space of green fields.

Day10: Trek to Khare (4850m) 3hrs
We will walk through eroded and slippery path of Dig glacier to Dig Kharka from where we will make an advance through Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers to Khare. You need to be extra cautious while walking through the slippery path at glacier. We will stay overnight at Khare.

Day11: Trek to Rato Odhar (5000m)
About 2hrs of trek will take us to the top of glacier. We will proceed through 30degree snow slope and conquer the glacial plateau. Merala (5400m) is located near to the plateau. We will lower down through the rocky terrain and reach Rato Odhar from where we can enjoy the view of Baruntse Mountain.

Day12: Trek to Five Lakes (5250m) 7hrs
We will continue to move ahead through the trails inside Hinku valley which offers views of Baruntse, Everest, Chamalang, Lhotse and peak 41 Mountains and Peaks. We will pitch our camp at the area where trail to Amphu Lambsa and Base Camp separates.   

Day13: Trek to Baruntse Base Camp (5450m)
The trail follows the desolate landscape with moraines. We can get the view of southern face of Baruntse and Amadablam Mountains. We will follow the jagged terrain to the base camp of Baruntse which is located nearby small lake that is created out of melting snow from glacier.

Day14-25: Climbing Period
These days are dedicated in climbing Baruntse Mountain. We will prepare two High Camps before reaching the Baruntse summit. Baruntse High Camp I will be located below southeastern ridge at 6000m altitude while we will place our Baruntse High Camp II at 6300m elevation. We will fix cables below West/ East Col and take 10hrs of difficult ascend to the summit. Later, we will lower down to Baruntse Base Camp.
 
Day26: Trek to Amphu Labtsa Base Camp (5650m) 5hrs
The trail contours through the desolate land with views of Everest and Lhotse Mountains. 5hrs of trek will take us to Amphu Labtsa Base Camp. Amphu Labsa Pass connects Hongu Valley with Imja Valley. We will stay overnight at Amphulabsa Base Camp. 

Day27: Trek to Chukung (4730m) 7hrs
We will follow the steep trail downward and pass through few tea houses to Chhukung where we will stay overnight.

Day28: Trek to Pangboche (3930m) 6hrs
We will exit from desolate Hinku Valley and arrive at Khumbu Region. Our path will meet with Main Everest Base Camp trail. We will also enjoy the view of Amadablam Mountain.

Day29: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 5-6hrs
We will descend to Dudhkoshi River which needs to be crossed to reach Dudh Koshi Gorge. We will walk through forested ridge to large Tengboche village. After brief descend, we will cross Kyangjuma afterwards which we need to pass through forest. Walking along the Army Camp, we will arrive at Namche Bazaar where we will stay overnight.

Day30: Trek to Lukla (2800m) 6-7hrs
We will retrace our route from Namche Bazaar to Lukla via Phakding. Enroute, we can get the opportunity to get rare views of Kusum Kangaru peak. Once arriving at Lukla, we will find the hotel and stay overnight at Lukla.

Day31: Lukla Kathmandu Flight
We will take Lukla Kathmandu flight on this day. It takes 35minutes of flight to reach Kathmandu from Lukla. Lowering down at Domestic Airport of Kathmandu, we will return to hotel where we will celebrate the successful Baruntse Expedition.

Day32: Free Day in Kathmandu
Spend the day as you wish. You can either take rest in the lavish room or go for shopping in Thamel where you can buy souvenir items like curio goods, handicrafts and hand painted arts. 

Day33: Departure
It is the day of departure. After assisting in your last moment preparation, you will be taken to Tribhuvan International Airport. We hope we will see you soon. Goodbye!!
