Annapurna Panorama Trek is a short and fascinating trekking destination in the world famous Annapurna region of Nepal located in the Western part of the country. It is one of the several trekking itineraries in the Annapurna region of Nepal. As Annapurna region is very popular amongst both domestic and international tourists, it remains crowded for the large part of the year as the most of the tourists come here to experience the adventure of trekking in Nepal. Enjoying the natural sightseeing in the world famous region of Annapurna is yet another exciting prospect of the trekking. Annapurna Panorama trekking also known as the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is a 12-day trekking itinerary with the Emerging Nepal during the course of which the visiting tourists will witness the panoramic beauty of the Annapurna Mountain range and also the other mountains in the region. The view point of Poon Hill is one of the major highlights of the trekking as it offers amazing views of the nearby mountains.

The panoramic view of the Mountains including the likes of Mount Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Mount Langtang, among others, and the adjoining settlement areas and villages of the locals also some other highlights of the trek as suggested by its name. The visiting trekkers will also have the chance to peek about the way of life of the people living in the region and also their cultural aspect. The trail also passes through thinly inhabited settlement areas, through the local villages, the people and their indigenous culture. The word Annapurna, it is believed, originates from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘goddess of the harvests’.

The moderate Annapurna Panorama Trek begins from the beautiful city of Pokhara with a drive or flight from the Capital city of Kathmandu. The maximum altitude the trekkers come during the trekking is around 3200 meters. It is the altitude of Poon Hill. The trail passes through traditional villages of Gurung, Magar, Thakali, and other communities. The hospitality and warm disposition of the locals of the region is another attraction of the trek. The most appropriate time for Annapurna Ghorepani Trekking is during the months of September, November, March and May. However, it can be performed all round the year.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our team representatives and then be transferred to the Hotel where you will be briefed about the travel itinerary. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu 
On the second day of the itinerary package, you will embark on the sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. After having breakfast at the Hotel in the morning, you will start the sightseeing tour with the visit to the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. The ancient art and architecture which are at display in the museums and the monuments will charm the tourists. Similarly, the tourists can also visit the holy Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath Temple and also the Bouddhanath Stupa which are important destinations for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. You will return back to the Hotel in the evening.

Day 03: Drive (6hrs) or Fly (30 min) to Pokhara
The next day, you will either drive to Pokhara (around 200km) along Prithivi Highway or take a thirty-minute flight from Kathmandu and land at the Pokhara Airport. If you choose to drive to Pokhara, you will enjoy the natural beauty of the river and also the hills while on the way to the beautiful city. After reaching Pokhara, you will be transferred to the Hotel there where you will be staying overnight.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga
After having breakfast in the morning on the fourth day, you will drive to Naya Pul (42km) via car/taxi. Naya Pul is the starting point of the Annapurna Panorama Trekking. Thirty minutes of walk further up from Naya Pul will take the trekkers to Birethanti, a small town nearby from Pokhara. From Birethanti, you will continue to walk along the villages and forests before finally arriving at another village of Tikedhunga. After around five hours of walking from Nayapul, the trekkers will finally reach Tikedhunga where they will have lunch and have rest for the remaining time at a guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2780m) 5hrs
On the fifth day, the trekkers will be heading towards the beautiful village of Ghorepani. An hour’s walk from Ulleri will take you to Nangethanti, the destination for lunch on the fifth day. More hours of trek from Nangethanti will take the trekkers eventually to Ghorepani. Ghorepani is specially known for the spectacular views of mountains including Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and other Himalayas of the region. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 06: Trek to Poonhill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani (2590m) 4hrs
On this day, the visitors will walk from Ghorepani to Poon Hill in the morning. Poon Hill, as we know, is quite popular for the panoramic view of the mountains--Annapurna and others while it is also an ideal spot for the Sunrise and Sunset views of the nearby vicinity. Mountains like Dhaulagiri and Mount Machhapuchhre are also visible from Poon Hill. After visiting Poon Hill and spending some time there at the top, you will return to Ghorepani for a quick breakfast, and then continue the trek to Tadapani. Tadapani is the destination for day six.

Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk
On the seventh day, the trekkers will be walking down from Tadapani to the Gurung village of Ghandruk which is a popular place in the Annapurna region. Ghandruk is an old village inhabited mostly by the Gurung people and it is popular for its old culture and tradition. Ghandruk is also suitable for the views of mountains like Mount Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Mount Machhapuchhre, among others. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek to Pothana
On this day, you will ascend for a short while and make your way towards the village of Pothana which is the last village before you head back to Pokhara. The village of Pothana is wonderful and also a beautiful village where the trekkers can enjoy the natural beauty of the region. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek to Phedi and drive to Pokhara
On the ninth day of the itinerary, the trekkers will walk to Phedi from the village of Pothana. It will take around a couple of hours to reach Phedi. From Phedi, you will then drive to Pokhara via taxi. After reaching Pokhara, you will be transferred to the Hotel where you will spend the rest of the night.

Day 10: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu
On this day, you will have breakfast in the morning at the then either drive back to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway or take a flight from Pokhara to the Capital city of Kathmandu. If you go by drive, it will take around six hours while if you opt for a flight then you will reach there in 30 minutes. After reaching the Capital, you will be transferred to the Hotel.

Day 11: Free day in Kathmandu
A day before your departure, you will have a free day in Kathmandu. On this day, you can either have a full day of rest at the Hotel or else you can stroll on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur area and buy souvenirs and gifts to your loved ones back home. You can even have the pleasure of rickshaw ride in the Capital. You will return to the Hotel in the evening.

Day 12: Departure from Kathmandu
On the final day of the itinerary, you will be transferred to the International Airport in Kathmandu from where you will catch a flight back to your home country.
