Amadablam Expedition is the package that you should choose if you love adventure in mountain and dare to take challenges. Existing just above the scenic Tengboche village in the heart of Khumbu region, it lies on the way to Mount Everest. Amadablam with its 6812m height is the technical mountain and it demands strong will power, good health and perfect physical fitness.   

Emerging Nepal currently offers 30 days Amadablam Expedition itinerary. The package also covers UNESCO World Heritage Tour inside Kathmandu. Amadablam Trekking begins after taking 35 minutes of scenic Kathmandu Lukla flight. The trekking route for Amadablam continues through the gateway of Khumbu region at Namche Bazaar to Tengboche monastery from where we will reach Amadablam Base Camp. Amadablam Climbing route begins through the southwestern ridge. Normally, we will place three High Camps before reaching the Amadablam summit. We cannot compromise with your securtity. Therefore we use only the best quality climbing gears like ladders, crampons and axes. Climbing the Amadablam Mountain, we will retrace our route back to Lukla and catch Lukla Kathmandu flight to return back to Kathmandu.

Walk along the roaring Dudhkoshi River, traversing dense forest of blooming rhododendron, views of Kusum Kanggru, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, Amadablam, Cholatse, Kangtega, Lobuche and Tabuche Mountains, getting rare view of skull of Yeti at Khumjung Monastery and visit to Tengboche Monastery and views of Mount Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Khumbu Himal and Island Peak from summit of Amadablam are major highlights of Amadablam Expedition.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Once you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will find the representative from Emerging Nepal waiting for you at Tribhuvan International Airport. After completing your visa formalities, you will meet our staff who will pick you up from airport and take you to the luxury hotel where you will get refreshed and stay overnight.

Day 02 & 03: Sightseeing and expedition preparation
We will take sightseeing tour in Kathmandu and visit UNESCO World Heritage sites of Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swayamvu and Kathmandu Durbar square. We will also get an approval from Nepal Government for Expedition in Amadablam. 

Day 04: Flight to Lukla (2800m) Trek to Phakding (2640m)
It requires 35minutes of pleasant Kathmandu Lukla flight to take us to Tenzing Hilary Airport at Lukla. The flight will offer panoramic views of Gaurishankar, Langtang, Lhotse and Nuptse Mountains. We will begin our trek from Lukla. We will pass through the mani walls and forest to a steel suspension bridge. Walking further, we will arrive at another bridge over Thado Koshi River. Crossing Dudh Koshi River, we will reach Ghat from where we will move to Phakding.

Day 05: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3446m)
After taking brief climb from Namche Bazaar, we will reach Jhorsalle. Ridge in Jhorsalle offers striking views of snow-clad mountains. Leaving Jhorsale, we will cross the dense forest of blooming rhododendrons and arrive at the vantage point offering views of Kusum Kanggru (6369m), Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8,848 m) and Nuptse (7879 m) mountains. We will head to Benkar and pass through small settlement of Monjo to reach Namche Bazaar.

Day 06: Trek to Khumjung (3790m)
Leaving Namche Bazaar, we will follow the beautiful trail with view of soaring Kwangde Ri Mountain at the backdrop. We will walk past the old airport to reach Syangboche. After taking lunch at Everest View Hotel, we will take the close up view of Mount Everest and also enjoy the sights of Lhotse, Thamserku and Amadablam Mountains. We will leave Everest View hotel and walk up to Khumjung.

Day 07: Exploration at Khumjung
We will spend this day by visiting the homes in Khumjung Village.  We will visit Khumjung Monastery where locals claim that the monastery possesses skull of Yeti. We will get close look of the statue of Master Guru Rinpoche. Khunde village is rich in cultural heritages.

Day 08: Trek to Tengboche Monastery
Advancing through the forest of blooming rhododendrons, we will climb the ridge and reach Sanasa. We will pass through small settlement of Phuki Thanka and arrive at Tengboche village. W can have views of Tawache (6542 m), Nuptse (7855m), Lhotse (8618m), Kwongde (6187m), Everest (8,848 m), Amadablam (6856m) and  Thamserku (6608m) from the ridge at Tengboche. We can also visit Tengboche Monastery which is the largest monastery in Khumbu region.

Day 09: Trek to Mt. Amadablam Base Camp (4600m):
We will follow the rock strewn path and proceed through moraines to arrive at Amadablam Base Camp. We will get the views of Amadablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Pumori, Cholatse, Lhotse, Kangtega, Tabuche and Lobuche Mountains and Minbo Glacier from Amadablam Base Camp. We will prepare our Base Camp at the Base of Amadablam Mountain.

Day 10- 23: Climb and descend of Amadablam Mountain
These days are dedicated in climbing and descending the Amadablam Mountain. We need to follow the instructions of team leader carefully. First few days are dedicated for practice in climbing the mountain. We need to pass through few High Camps before heading for summit. After getting the views of Pumori(7161m), Lhotse (8516m),  Makalu (8463m), Lobuche (6145m), Cho Oyu (8201m) and other mountains and peaks, we will lower down to Amadablam Base Camp. Climbing gears like spike shoes, crampons, ladders and fixed cables are needed to climb to the summit of Mount Amadablam.

Day 24: Rest Day at Amadablam Base Camp
We are the responsible travel company and we believe in eco tourism. We will collect all garbage that we have made and dispose them in proper manner. We will celebrate the successful Amadablam Climbing. 

Day 25: Trek to Khumjung
Leaving Amadablam Base Camp early in the morning, we will follow the lowering trail. Passing through the Sherpa village of Tengboche, we will reach Khumjung Village where we will stay overnight.

Day 26: Trek to Phakding
Returning from Khumjung, we will take brief walk to Namche Bazaar. We will cross the pass and move in and out of Jhorsalle village to reach Phakding where we will stay overnight.

Day 27: Trek to Lukla
Crossing the bridge over Dudhkoshi River, we will take 4hrs of walk to Lukla. We will do necessary preparation for our flight back to Kathmandu and stay in a hotel.  

Day 28: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
We will take Lukla Kathmandu flight on this day. It takes 35minutes of flight to reach Kathmandu from Lukla. Lowering down at Domestic Airport of Kathmandu, we will return to hotel where we will celebrate the successful Expedition of Amadablam.

Day 29: Free Day in Kathmandu
Spend the day as you wish. You can either take rest in the lavish room or go for shopping in Thamel where you can buy souvenir items like curio goods, handicrafts and hand painted arts. 

Day 30: Departure
It is the day of departure. After assisting in your last moment preparation, you will be taken to Tribhuvan International Airport. We hope we will see you soon. Goodbye!!
